A German man is in headlines after police say he became so enraged that his teen daughter was dating a much older man that he castrated him with a bread knife.
Police report that 47-year-old Helmut Seifert was enraged when he heard his 17-year-old daughter was having a relationship with Phillip Genscher, 57.
The father told police about the inappropriate relationship but when authorities claimed they could do nothing to stop it, Seifert took matters into his own hands.
Accordinf to police, the dad went to Genscher’s home with two of his colleagues and forced him to remove his pants.
Seifert then took out a bread knife and removed the man’s testicles while he was fully conscious.
According to authorities, the badly injured man nearly bled to death but managed to call for help.
He was treated and has since recovered.
Seifert pleaded guilty to attempted murder and will stand trial next year.
When police later asked him why he did it, the protective dad responded,
“I received a phone call anonymously that my daughter was involved with a guy 40 years older than her. You said you couldn`t stop him – so I did. I saw it as my duty as a father.”
