Below are 10 things you didn’t know about Ochocinco, aka Chad Johnson, who’s currently without a team after memorable stints with the Cincinnati Bengals and New England Patriots.

He’s No Longer Chad Ochocinco

In July 2013, after signing with the Miami Dolphins—a team that would cut him before he beginning of the season—Ochocinco went to the Broward County courthouse and changed his name back to Chad Johnson. He said he wanted to reconnect with his old self. The moniker swap cost him $401.

He’ll Go to Great Lengths for Love

After Lozada filed for divorce in August 2013, Ochocinco got a tattoo of his estranged wife’s calf on his leg. He was later seen wearing a shirt that read, “I just want to love you.” By September, however, he’d changed his name and agreed to sign the divorce papers.
