The VMAs became a platform for Eminem’s upcoming return in November. The brand new single “Berzerk” dropped today as the hip-hop icon takes it back to his roots (“vintage Slim”) on the raucous track, produced by the legendary Rick Rubin.
“We gonna rock this house until we knock it down/ So turn the volume loud/ I said it’s mayhem till the A.M.,” raps Em over the old school hip-hop beat.
Slim Shady takes aim at celebrities including Kevin Federline, Khloe Kardashian (“I fell asleep and woke up in that Monte Carlo with the ugly Kardashian/ Lamar, oh sorry, we done both set the bar low”), and Future (“I did enough codeine to knock Future into tomorrow”).
His album The Marshall Mathers LP 2, executive produced by Dr. Dre and Rick Rubin, will be released on November 5.
