Let TMZ tell it 50 Cent can’t get 50 cents out of his ATM, because his personal bank account is now off limits. According to TMZ, It seems 50 didn’t pay a whopping $17.2 million judgment over a deal he made to market headphones for a company called Sleek Audio. Sleek claimed 50 stole its design and then tried marketing it on his own. The law sided with Sleek, and 50 got hit with the massive judgment.
Legal Lesson: If you don’t pay a judgment, the winner can garnish your wages and freeze your bank accounts. A source connected to 50 tells TMZ the rapper has complete access to his business bank accounts. the only account affect by the judgment is his personal.
And it’s not like he’s broke. Forbes estimates 50’s worth at $140 million. An attorney for 50 tells us they are appealing the Sleek Audio judgment, and the company has been “desperately attempting” to hold money from any accounts it can locate. He added … don’t worry about 50 because his assets are “appropriately protected.”
Mariah and Nick Still Break Bread as a Family
Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon have quietly figured out how to remain a family for the sake of their kids … and they successfully spent the first big holiday together since they separated.
Mariah made it SEEM like Thanksgiving was Cannon free … posting a pic of her in the foyer of a home but TMZ says not only was Nick there but it was HIS L.A. home. TMZ adds that their Carey/Cannon sources say their relationship was extremely toxic when they were together, but they actually get along as friends now and both are committed to the welfare of their 3-year-old twins.
TMZ says Thanksgiving was calm and happy, although Mariah and the kids bolted for a hotel after the meal. As for how the kids are doing … TMZ says they’re not really conscious or affected by the separation, because they’re used to being cared for by one parent or the other … interaction with both Mariah and Nick was infrequent over the last 3 years.
Khloe Kardashian Doesn’t Care Who French is Banging
Khloe Kardashian doesn’t care if French Montana has a side piece … and she thinks her family should stay out of her business. As TMZ first reported, the Kardashians had a heart-to-heart with Khloe last week … warning her that French had used Kim as a cover during their recent trip, making it appear he was spending time with her when he was actually dogging around Dubai. TMZ says Khloe scoffed at her family’s advice … she fired back, saying she’s having fun and there’s no expectation of exclusiveness.
The fam is concerned because of the way Khloe dealt with the Lamar situation … defending him for way longer than most partners would. But Khloe says this is not “a Lamar situation.” She’s having fun … end of story.
Rihanna Possibly Dropping Her Next Album On Christmas
Rihanna, who typically puts out her albums in November might be breaking from her usual pattern with the release of her next album, which could arrive on Christmas! One online retailer may have spilled the tea on Rihanna’s upcoming studio project with a simple pre-order portal. According to ThatGrapeJuice.net, Play.com put up a page for her eighth album stating that it could be shipped on December 26.
This would suggest that Rihanna’s album may be available as soon as Christmas Day since mail doesn’t go out on holidays. According to Play, the as-yet untitled project will sell for about $21.85. Rihanna has yet to say anything on the speculations, so time will simply have to tell if Play was correct in its predictions.
Erica Mena Gets Tatoo of Bow Wow’s Name
this past weekend, Bow Wow (or Shad Moss, whichever you prefer) revealed that Erica Mena got a tattoo with his name on her body. He had this to say about it on Facebook:
“Love this woman so much! She You know its real when the ink dry. Tatted my name so i know its real! Saturday’s w/ the misses!”
Interesting enough though, this isn’t the first time that Mena has gone the ink route to let a man know how she feels about him. If you’ll recall, she revealed on a “Love and Hip Hop New York” reunion that she tattooed Rich Dollaz’s name on her hand. When things went left between them, she did get that ‘R’ covered up with a massive scorpion. She told the folks on “Black Ink Crew” (where she got the tat covered) that, “I did a sucka move. I got it to prove my loyalty and it worked against me.”
Hopefully things will work out better this time around.
Tammy Rivera Slammed For Praising Her Black Heritage Online
“Love & Hip Hop Atlanta” star Tammy Rivera got backlash after telling Instagram fans that “black is black, no matter what you’re mixed with.” Her statement caught some off guard, with some saying that Tammy was saying her black race was superior.
She later sent out a statement to explain her previous post, and called out fans for saying Tammy was shading her Hispanic side.
Christina Milian Talks Abour Her Stalled Career In Reality Show Sneak Peek
Christina Milian is talking about how motherhood made her ease up on her studio time in a sneak peek of her reality show. We almost forgot that Christina had a show coming out on E! until the network rolled out a first look at “Christina Milian: Turned Up” this week. In the clip, C.Milli reintroduces herself to the masses and explained where she’s been hiding for the last couple of years.
“At the height of my career everything was fast and fun. It took one kid to change that all up,” said Christina. “When I took time off to raise Violet, my career hit a screeching halt.”
There should be lots of juicy stuff for viewers to take in as she co-parents her daughter Violet with The Dream. She’s also rumored to be dating Lil Wayne. Neither of them have confirmed the relationship, and it’s not clear if he’d appear on the show. See if you can spot him (or her ex-husband The Dream) when “Christina Milian: Turned Up” debuts January 18 on E!
