Harvey Weinstein Indicted In NYC On New Sex Assault Charges

NEW YORK— Former Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein is being indicted in New York City on new sex assault charges.

Those charges are under seal but prosecutors announced last week that they were presenting new accusations to a grand jury. They involve three women whose sex assault claims haven’t previously been charged.

Weinstein recently had emergency heart surgery.

Investigators say this is not connected to his 2020 New York rape conviction that was overturned earlier this year due to judicial error. He’s still expected to be recharged for those sex assault crimes.
