IU Indy Basketball Team Safe After Bus Engulfed In Fire During Trip

The IU Indianapolis men’s basketball team endured a frightening ordeal on Sunday when their bus caught fire during the drive home from a game against Northern Kentucky.

Near Kent, Indiana, mechanical issues sparked the fire, but thanks to swift action, all players and staff evacuated safely without injuries.

The fire, however, claimed all of the team’s gear and some personal belongings.

After escaping the blaze, the team waited as a replacement bus transported them back to Indianapolis.
