Eat Healthier This Weekend
If you plan on firing up the grill this weekend great, but how about eating healthier and still grilling?
Chef Ryan Scott, a former contestant on the Bravo TV show “Top Chef,” says leaner ground meats to make your burgers are just one alternative.
He says veggie burgers are another healthier option. They have about half the fat and calories of beef burgers and are high in protein. Instead of buying potato chips, Scott suggests grilling pieces of fresh vegetables like bell peppers, asparagus and onion. Toss the grilled veggies with a vinaigrette dressing and grated cheese for a delicious appetizer or side dish.
