It’s been 30 years since Bad Boys burst onto the scene in 1995, introducing the world to Miami detectives Mike Lowrey and Marcus Burnett. Will Smith took to Instagram to celebrate the anniversary (April 7), sharing a nostalgic throwback photo from the original film alongside a heartfelt caption. “30 years ago @jerrybruckheimer, Don Simpson and @michaelbay took a chance on us and Bad Boys was born!! Grateful for all the love y’all have shown us thru the years ,” Smith shared on Instagram.

Directed by Michael Bay in his feature debut, Bad Boys redefined the buddy-cop genre with explosive action, stylish direction, and the unbeatable chemistry between Smith and Martin Lawrence.
