It looks like Leonardo DiCaprio wants to take a new generation to “The Twilight Zone.”  Deadline.com reports that the actor’s production company and Warner Brothers have hired a screenwriter to work on a film based on the groundbreaking 1950s television series.  Jason Rothenberg will adapt this latest “Twilight Zone” script.  It’s believed Rothenberg will revisit some of the original stories created for the anthology series by Rod Serling.

DiCaprio’s film won’t be the the first big screen adaptation of Serling’s series.  Steven Speilberg and John Landis produced 1983’s “Twilight Zone: The Movie.”  That film featured four segments that starred actors Albert Brooks, Dan Akroyd, and Burgess Meredith.  Actor Vic Morrow tragically died during production of the segment he starred in, titled “Time Out.”
