According to the BBC, five fans in France sued Conrad Murray, the doctor who administered a lethal dose of anesthesia to their favorite pop star, have been awarded a small sum for the trauma they suffered following MJ’s death four years ago.

How small a sum you ask? Each of the fans were awarded one euro or roughly $1.36.

Their lawyer, Emmanuel Ludot said the damages were

“symbolic”

and that these five fans had proven their suffering

“with the help of witness statements and medical certificates.”
