On the anniversary of the Sept. 11 terror attacks, a white woman passenger on Spirit Airlines allegedly commemorated the occasion the way white Americans of the MAGA persuasion often do—by being a racist, Islamaphobic bigot.

Dusty Leo, a suspected white supremacist convicted of a hate crime in Maine for attacking an unsuspecting Black man and breaking his jaw because of the color of his skin, was given a light prison sentence because the judge said he was "intoxicated" and must have been "brainwashed."

On Sept. 8, Charlottesville Mayor Nikuyah Walker announced her painful decision to withdraw from this year's City Council race, a choice she explained was extremely "difficult." Walker became the city's first Black female mayor in 2017.

Valerie Castile, the mother of Philando Castile, supports a new policy by the Ramsey County district attorney declining to prosecute non-public safety traffic stops, which disproportionate target Black and other drivers of color.

Admitted racist Nolan Levi Strauss, who was sentenced to 16 years in prison for stabbing a complete stranger twice in the neck nearly killing him, had the caucacity to say Black people are lacking in morality and are not good people.

The announcement that the Department of Justice intends to sue Texas for its recently enacted anti-abortion law was being hailed by Black women, in particular, who are disproportionately affected. But the lawsuit is not enough, one group said.

It appears the University of Texas at Austin has been getting in the school spirit for over a century with a chant linked to Confederate leader Robert E. Lee and minstrelsy. 

After the recent indictments of two Georgia district attorneys, including one who worked on Ahmaud Arbery's case while concealing a conflict of interest, Waycross County District Attorney George Barnhill -- who justified Arbery's shooting -- could be next.

The U.S. Supreme Court overturned his conviction in the sixth trial in 2019 and found the district attorney had a “relentless, determined effort to rid the jury of black individuals” over the various trials.
