T.I.'s Wife Pleads Not Guilty To Drug Charges
While T.I. was busy surrendering his freedom, his wife was in a California courtroom pleading not guilty to drug charges.
According to the “Beverly Hills Courier,” a lawyer for Tameka “Tiny” Cottle was in a Beverly Hills courtroom on Monday to enter a not guilty plea to one misdemeanor count of possession of a controlled substance. Cottle could face up to a year behind bars if she’s found guilty of the charge. She is due back in court on January 6th for a pretrial hearing. Tiny and T.I. were arrested in Los Angeles on September 1st after police discovered the drug ecstasy in their vehicle following a traffic stop.
T.I. was on probation for a 2007 weapons charge at the time of the couple’s arrest. A judge subsequently sentenced the rapper to eleven months in prison for violating his probation. On Monday, the rap superstar entered the same low-security, federal prison in Arkansas where he served time on the weapons charge.
