A visit and speech by “Jersey Shore” star Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi has parents of Rutgers University students outraged at her visit and comments. The “New York Post” reports parents are angry that the MTV Reality Star received more than 32-thousand dollars from a Rutgers student council for a speaking engagement last Thursday.
Snooki’s payday was nearly ten-thousand dollars more than most parents have to pay for a year of tuition and housing at Rutgers. The “appearance fee” was two-thousand dollars more than the school agreed to pay Nobel Prize winner Toni Morrison for this year’s commencement address. Parents don’t feel Snooki is a good role model for their kids. The MTV reality star told students at the Rutgers event, quote, “study hard, but party harder.”
