BET and Jamie Foxx are teaming up to revive a popular, long-running variety show.

Deadline.com says the network is putting the final touches on a deal for a pilot episode of “Showtime at the Apollo.”  Jamie will be sharing the executive producer duties with “Showtime’s” original EP, Don Weiner.  Should the show get picked up, it will air as a primetime series on BET.  “Showtime at the Apollo” made its debut in 1987, and ended its run in 2008.  Jamie Foxx is no stranger to the show.  He was booed off the Apollo stage when he was just an up and coming comedian.
