Natalie Johnson of Texas was fired from her job at a popular clothing store after she refused to let a man dressed as a woman enter the dressing room, despite the store’s policy.

Johnson told KSAT 12: “I had to just straight forward tell him, ‘You’re a man,’ and of course that really got him steamed.”

Since being fired Johnson has filed a complaint with the federal employment commission, claiming her religion forbids her to recognize transgendered people.

However, the company stood by their policy, saying…

“We recognize and appreciate the diversity of our customers and associates.”

“They wanted me to believe that the young man I was looking at was a woman,” Johnson said. “He wasn’t. He was just a man with makeup on and women’s clothing.”

“I personally don’t believe in transgenders,” Johnson said. “These are just people that are mentally confused.”
