The pop princess has been added as a performer for this year’s show.
She will take the stage at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on September 6th, as she leads the awards with five nominations including Video of the Year, Best Female Video, and Best Pop Video for “We Found Love.”
While MTV has yet to make an official announcement, Rihanna confirmed the news herself. When asked by a fan if she will perform, she said, “PHUCK YES I WILLLL!!! JUST FOR MY NAVY!!!!”
The last time RiRi performed at the VMAs was with Eminem in 2010.
