A$AP Rocky opens up about this year’s MTV Video Music Awards moment when he ended his performance by grabbing Rihanna’s cake.
The Harlem rapper is featured on the remix of Rih Rih’s Bangladesh-produced single “Cockiness,” and made headlines for not keeping his hands to himself; but he doesn’t understand why it’s such a big deal. “I thought it was just one of those moments,” he told an ATL radio station.
“I didn’t know everyone was really talking about it.”
A$AP is working on his debut and hitting the road for a national tour. His Long Live A$AP tour arrives here at the Old National Theater on October 10th.
“It’s beautiful,” he said of the trek which features Schoolboy Q , Danny Brown, and the A$AP Mob. “If you into some punk rock sh-t you gon’ f-ck with us. If you into some backpack sh-t you gon’ f-ck with us. If you into some old school 90’s sh-t, you gon’ f-ck wit us. If you into some old school narly sh-t you gon’ f-ck wit us, and that’s all that matters.”
The 23-year-old is wraps up the tour in November at Philly’s Electric Factory.
