As if I didn’t love Kendric Lamar already, he always does things to highlight the underdogs. At the last minute before the shooting of his “Poetic Justice” video he decided to choose a more dark-skinned girl to go against the “industries definition” of beauty. It was just his way of taking a stand against the typical industries standards, he did make it clear that he loves ALL women and it wasn’t a dark skin vs. light skin battle, it was just his way of switching things up a bit.
