**Cue ‘Suit & Tie’** Jay-Z definitely cleans up well!

Last night, he was killing it in that suit as he hit the world premiere of “The Great Gatsby” in New York City. Of course Beyonce couldn’t make it because she was in London rocking it on her “Mrs. Carter World Tour,” but Jay showed face on the carpet as the executive producer of the movie’s soundtrack.

In case you are wondering how in the world Jay was chosen as EP over the film’s music, he recently sat down with Black Tree Media to talk about how he got involved.

“This whole process started [when] Baz and Leo came to a recording session. We were over at the Mercer Hotel finishing up “Watch The Throne” and I was working on a song called “No Church in the Wild.” I was working on it while they were in the room and we started playing some music and we started talking about collaborating because [I was] collaborating with Kanye at the time. We just talked about the act and the art of collaborating. I guess that was the seed of the ideas.
