bob_lupe_fiasco (1)B.O.B’s “How 2 Rap” is being pegged as the Georgia rapper’s response to Kendrick’s verse on “Control,” even though B.o.B. was not mentioned by name in the song. However, neither was comedian Kevin Hart — and he responded as well!

Now open your mind up and listen, you n****s. I am the master, the guru, and after I school you, I’m skinning you n****s. You finished. I’m making chinchillas out [of] n****s. You should be embarrassed I’m thinking ’bout rapping. It’s killing you n****s,” B.o.B. raps.

My first mixtape, they all said I sounded like Dre [Andre 3000],” B.o.B. continues on the track. “Then they said my album was Pop, didn’t really sound like the mixtape. Now I’m doing what I started, now they telling me I changed. I hear underrated so much, you would swear it was my name. Ain’t no rappers on my list. Come holla at me when you’re done riding each other’s d***.”

Then Lupe Fiasco decided to share his response yesterday. After dropping his “#DopeFrancis (American Trap)” track, the Windy City MC gave fans “SLR 2,” a response to Kendrick Lamar.

Hours after Lamar’s “King of New York” verse off Big Sean’s “Control” hit the ‘Net, Twitter reactions flooded social media, until Joell Ortiz was the first to step forward with a rap response. In comparison, Lupe is far less ferocious than Ortiz, and doesn’t name the TDE rapper directly. “I ain’t competition, I don’t move s—/The only opposition is this new s—,” he rhymes.

Later in the record he takes aim at Lamar’s looks and perceived arrogance. “He’s so crazy, look at the little baby/ N—- you ain’t Nas, n—- you ain’t Jay Z, you will respect me, you will reject me/But I’ve done so much, no matter how far you go, you will reflect me.

“SLR 2” is both a lyrical and sonic deviation from some of Lupe’s previous work but even that wasn’t enough to garner a reaction from Lamar. The Compton native has yet to speak on any of the rebuttals to his controversial line.
