Kid Rock Calls Rap/Rock "Gay," Clarifies Stance On Homosexuality

Kid Rock may have been one of the more prominent names in rap/rock during its popularity in the late 1990s and 2000s, along with groups like Limp Bizkit and Linkin Park. But the singer/rapper, who’s worked with Eminem, Yelawolf and Snoop Dogg, recently told The Guardian that he is not a fan of what the genre meshing became.

“Rap/rock was what people wanted at the time, and they still love those songs at shows,” he explained. “But it turned into a lot of bullsh-t and it turned out to be pretty gay… If someone says you can’t say ‘gay’ like that you tell them to go f-ck themselves. You’re not going to get anything politically correct out of me.”

In the interview, Rock also clarified his stance on homosexuality, along with other political topics.

“I am definitely a Republican on fiscal issues and the military, but I lean to the middle on social issues,” he said. “I am no fan of abortion, but it’s not up to a man to tell a woman what to do. As an ordained minister I don’t look forward to marrying gay people, but I’m not opposed to it.”

During the interview, Rock also said he is 43-years-old and about to become a grandfather and that he feels he could have been a better example to his son when it comes to relationships with women. Moreover, Rock said President Barack Obama’s promise has not been fulfilled.
