That Tupac Biopic Is Finally Happening
According to Complex.com, the long-awaited Tupac Shakur biopic is finally getting off the ground, according to a recent interview with one of the film’s producers, Randall Emmett. Emmett was candid about the production status of the film, revealing a start date for the crew and also opening up about what will actually be in the movie.
It has also been confirmed that the studio has rights to use Pac’s music in the film, a result of getting the rapper’s mother, Afeni Shakur, on board with the project. She was previously involved in a legal dispute over the rights to her son’s story, but thankfully, that all got resolved and it looks like one of the greatest rappers ever will get a film worthy of his legacy. Hopefully, it will be a better endeavor than the ill-fated Broadway musical.
The Weeknd ARRESTED For Allegedly Punched a Cop
R&B singer The Weeknd was arrested Saturday in Las Vegas … after he was accused of punching a cop.
Law enforcement sources tell us a fight allegedly involving Weeknd started inside the Cromwell Hotel around 4:20 AM … and when they arrived, the fight was still raging.
We’re told cops attempted to break up the fight, and one of them pulled the singer into an elevator during the scuffle. That’s when Weeknd allegedly punched him in the head.
The singer — best known for his duet “Love Me Harder” with Ariana Grande — was instantly hauled off to jail for battery of a protected person.
After he was bailed out … Weeknd posted a pic of himself boarding a private jet with the caption, “escaped from Las Vegas.”
Nicki Minaj Cuddles Up With Meek Mill While Hanging With Wale
According to Vlad TV, while many have suspected that Nicki Minaj moved on to Philly spitter Meek Mill after her breakup with Safaree “SB” Samuels, there was a lack of photographic evidence to fully support the rumor. Meek then dropped a photo of him hanging out with Onika that stirred the pot, but as the two of them have two collaborations on Nicki’s latest release, The Pinkprint, some assumed it was simply a video in the works.
The latest flick of the two all but confirms the rumors, as Meek and Nicki are seen cuddled up on a large couch while hanging out with friends, including Meek’s MMG co-spitter, Wale.
