Anderson .Paak And The Free Nationals Perform At Vogue Theatre

NxWorries – “Lyk Dis”

When Anderson .Paak and instrumental hip-hop musician Knxwledge dropped their collaborative Link Up & Suede EP last year, everyone was talking — and rightfully so. After all, it would be the EP’s standout track, “Suede,” that caught the ears of Dr. Dre and prompted him to offer .Paak a guest slot on Compton.

Just under a year later, the duo known as NxWorries has announced its full-length debut album. Yes Lawd is due October 21 via Stone Throw Records. You can stream the soulful first single below.

Xavier Omär – “Grown Woman”

Xavier Omär‘s latest is an ode to the independent woman. “If I can teach respect in my lyrics, if I can teach equality for women and sing about how it’s about the inner beauty and not just the outside, that can become a mindset for whatever generation that listens to it,” he told us back in August.

“Grown Woman” is the first single to drop in preparation of his forthcoming EP and was produced by Chicago’s Thelonious Martin.

Punch – “40 Years”

As we await the arrival of Punch‘s debut album, the TDE co-founder gifts the internet with “40 Years,” a salute to fallen soldiers.

This song is dedicated to the 40 something year civil war that has ripped Watts, CA apart,” Punch explained via SoundCloud. “A war between families divided by the train tracks. My heart goes out to all of us who have lost someone due to this war.”
