Post Malone Leads 2020 Billboard Nominations

I wouldn’t call Post Malone (only) a rapper, but he fits in to many categories. Which is probably why he is leading the 2020 Billboard Award Nominations with 16.
Such nominations include Top Artist, Top Rap Artist (how), Top Male Artist, and the list continues.
Am I the only one confused?
