Shooting at Apartment Complex Kills One Man, Injures Another

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — One man was found dead, and another man was in critical condition, after a shooting Friday night at an apartment complex on the city’s west side, police say.
Information on the men shot was not immediately available. Police say “some type of disturbance” led to the shooting.
Wayne Township medics and Indianapolis police were sent to a 911 caller’s report of shots fired just before 9 p.m. Friday in the 800 block of Cloverleaf Terrace. That’s in the Cloverleaf Apartments complex just northeast of the I-465 interchange for West Washington Street.
About two minutes later, police received a second 911 call of a person shot. Police and medics arrived to find a car with a man dead inside.
Later, another man was found shot, and he was taken to a hospital in “very critical condition,” said IMPD Capt. Don Weilhammer at the crime scene.
IMPD officers detained a person of interest at the scene, but released them pending further investigation. Investigators found one handgun.
The shooting is believed to be an isolated incident.
