Two Killed in Indiana Police Chase, Shooting
WHITLEY CO., Ind. –Two men are dead after a shooting Sunday night in Fort Wayne led to a police chase that ended in a deadly shootout in Whitley County.
One man was found shot at a home on Hinton Drive and later died at the hospital. A second man, believed to be the suspect, led police on a 20-minute chase before crashing near State Road 9. He opened fire on officers and was killed after a brief standoff.
No officers were hurt. The Indiana State Police will investigate the officer-involved shooting. Fort Wayne police are still working to determine what led to the initial shooting.
