It’s been eight years since the big screen showcased Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones donned in all-black, fighting off aliens. Though reports in March mentioned that Smith was on the fence about starring in the threequel to the two-time commercially successful, Men In Black, Showbiz 411 reports that Smith has decided to move forward with MIB3.

The film’s director, Barry Sonnenfeld confirmed that Smith and Jones are both set to revive their roles as Jay and Day and that the film will also be in 3-D.

There’s no word on an official release date, though Memorial Day weekend 2011 is the rumored to be the scheduled premiere.

The original Men In Black debuted in 1997 and it’s sequel in 2002. Together both films grossed over $440 million
