Fans can begin purchasing tickets for the historic Yankee Stadium pairing of rap icons Jay-Z and Eminem on June 25th. The September 13th event will mark the first official concert at the new Yankee Stadium which opened in the Bronx last year. It will also be the second of a home-and-home-series of shows for New York native Jay-Z and Detroit-area emcee Eminem. The two will also perform at Detroit’s Comerica Park on September 2nd, ahead of the Yankee Stadium show. While the event will serve as the Stadium’s first official concert, Jay-Z has logged a little face time at the venue before. He and Alicia Keys performed “Empire State Of Mind” on October 29th of last year, just prior to the Yankees’ 3-1 victory over the Philadelphia Phillies in Game Two of the World Series.
Tickets for the Jay-Z-Eminem Yankee Stadium concert event will go on sale June 25th at 10:00 am online through livenation.com and through Ticketmaster.
