A witness at the scene tells 24-Hour News 8 that a man fired several shots from an upper level of a parking garage and then shot himself before falling about 30 feet to the ground. The man’s body is believed to have landed at the southwest quadrant of the Meridian/Washington intersection.
Workers inside state Republican headquarters tell 24-Hour News 8 they heard four shots fired outside the building and then a pause of about 30 seconds, and a fifth shot.
