Lauryn Hill spoke with MTV about the “free-form” style of her Rock The Bells performance in NY this past weekend.

“There is a point where we become completely ‘self-consciousless'”,” she says of the improvisation. “The energy between myself and the band became a way to express yourself in a way… I don’t know too many highs like it.” (props to Nahright)
