Pop superstar Lady Gaga is leading the pack with 13 nominations at tonight’s MTV Video Music Awards. The singer racks up nominations in all the big categories like Video of the Year, Best Pop Video, Best Female Video, and Best Dance Video. While she’s not scheduled to perform at the show, Gaga is expected to attend the festivities. The night is set to begin with Detroit rapper Eminem taking the stage. Other performers include Justin Bieber, Kanye West, Usher, Paramore, Drake, B.o.B., and Florence and the Machine. DJ Deadmau5 [[ deadmouse ]] will serve as the house DJ with a little help from famous friends like Robyn, Jason Derulo, and Travie McCoy. Chelsea Handler of “Chelsea Lately” on E! will serve as the host of the VMA ceremony.
Previously announced presenters include Nicki Minaj, Ke$ha, Emma Stone, Trey Songz, Ashley Greene, Ne-Yo, and Selena Gomez. The 2010 MTV Video Music Awards will be broadcast live from the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, California at 9:00 p.m. Eastern.
