On Saturday morning, Lil Wayne announced via Twitter that he will be retiring from music after a nearly two-year battle with his longtime producer and mentor Birdman to get out of his contract with Cash Money Records. The announcement sparked a flurry of support from his many friends and collaborators in the music business, as well as some former rivals and living legends.
