Rep John Lewis

After Pres. Obama's final address as President of the United States to the Congressional Black Caucus, Roland Martin and NewsOne Now got immediate reactions from many of the lawmakers who gathered in Washington, D.C. for the CBC's annual event.

During a recent interview, Ryan revealed Republicans will not tolerate another sit-in. The Republican Speaker of the House declined to give specific details as to how he intends to stop Democrats from staging another sit-in to protest gun control laws, but it appears he's serious.

GOP leaders also shuttered C-SPAN's live coverage of the protest, but that did not stop policy makers from tweeting and posting live feeds on Facebook and Periscope to disseminate their cause.

Rep. Emanuel Cleaver spoke with Roland Martin, host of NewsOne Now, and guest co-host Laura Coates about Wednesday's sit-in protest that captured the attention of the nation and went viral on social media platforms.
