Fans hoping to keep in touch with Lil Wayne appear to be out of luck. On Wednesday, a message was posted on the incarcerated emcee’s Twitter page asking people to stop sending him mail. The tweet reads, quote, “I can no longer write my fans, as difficult as this maybe to say please stop sending me mail, I luv u and will see you soon.” Earlier this week, Lil Wayne was placed in punitive segregation at Rikers Island for being in possession of a pair of headphones and an MP3 charger back in May. Weezy — who is projected to be released in early November — is expected to spend the rest of his sentence in segregation. Lil Wayne began serving a one-year sentence for weapons charges back in March.
