Mike Posner released his debut album, “31 Minutes to Takeoff,” just two months ago, but he’s already looking forward to his next record. The singer tells Billboard.com that he feels his sophomore effort will be a better album because he’s grown as an artist. He remarks, quote, “I know my best music is still ahead of me, so I can’t wait. I just look forward to making music that sounds different than anything else out there, and that usually means doing the opposite of what people expect.” While Mike Posner doesn’t know when his next record will be ready for fans, he does know that people won’t have to wait too long. He adds, quote, “It’s not a situation where I keep people waiting eleven years. I’m not gonna pull a Lauryn Hill or anything.” Mike Posner just finished his first-ever headlining tour with a show Monday night in his home state of Michigan. The singer will be on national television on November 21st when he appears at the American Music Awards. The show will air live from Los Angeles’ Nokia Theatre at 8:00 p.m. Eastern on ABC.
