Lawrence Taylor Sentenced
Lawrence Taylor has been sentenced for having sex with a runaway, teenaged prostitute.
In Rockland County court today, the former NFL linebacker received six years probation and was ordered to register as a sex offender. A hearing to determine the level at which Taylor must register as a sex offender has been set for April 12th. The former star linebacker pled guilty in January to sexual misconduct and patronizing a prostitute.
Prosecutors say the 52-year-old Taylor paid a 16-year-old girl for sex at a New York state hotel last May. The Bronx teen, who was a victim of sex trafficking, was present at today’s sentencing accompanied by attorney Gloria Allred, which could signal a possible civil case against the former New York Giant.
