Young Jeezy is hustling his way into the boardroom. The Atlanta rapper has been named Senior Vice President of A&R at Atlantic Records.

The announcement of the news came from his Twitter page, “From the streets to the Boardroom. SVP of A&R at Atlantic Records I am. Let’s Get it! Corporate thuggin to the max!”, Jeezy wrote.

The 34-year-old MC’s job will be to sign and develop new talent and work with the label’s current roster. He has his own label Corporate Thugz Entertainment (CTE) and is currently signed to Def Jam.

His latest album, Thug Motivation 103: Hustlerz Ambition, debuted at No. 3 in December 2011.

He joins the growing list of artists taking on an executive role. His mentor Jay-Z held the position of President at Def Jam for three years, while Ne-Yo currently holds the title of SVP of A&R at Motown Records.

Congratulations to Jeezy!
