The RTA driver who a customer videotaped reading a magazine while driving was identified and suspended without pay immediately.
This is a violation of the rules.He has been recommended for termination and will go through a hearing process in place agreed to by RTA and his union (ATU).The RTA bus was filled with people when the incident happened.
The cell phone video shows the driver paging through a magazine while driving in Cleveland last month.
RTA offers a free phone application called, “I Watch RTA,” that allows passengers to alert them to alarming behavior.
I was in complete SHOCKED. I don’t like to see people lose their jobs but I most certainly don’t want to see people losing their jobs.
