Melissa Harris-Perry Welcomes Daughter On Valentine's Day

MSNBC host and Tulane professor Melissa Harris Perry and her husband, former New Orleans mayoral candidate James Perry, welcomed a new baby girl on Valentine’s Day.

The couple shared the happy news and surprise announcement on Twitter:

Harris-Perry and Perry married in October, 2010. Harris-Perry also has an 11-year-old daughter named Parker.
