A Texas mother has been arrested after police say she was involved in a hit-and-run accident, then drove her car into a bayou with her child inside. Galveston police say LaTonya Kirven was naked and under the influence when she drove her car into Offatts Bayou with her 6-month-old son inside. Fishermen on a nearby pier risking their own safety to save the baby boy from drowning. Former Spelman Co-Valedictorian Twins Write Self-Help Book

Identical twin sisters who recently made history at Spelman College have penned a self-help book to inspire young people to achieve excellence in every aspect of their lives. Last year, Kirstie and Kristie Bronner, both music majors, were the first twins to ever graduate as co-valedictorians from the college. The Bronner twins  both scored perfect 4.0 GPA’s. Spelman was also the alma mater of their mother and grandmother. Read more.
