MAC Cosmetics Unveils Hello Kitty Collection

MAC cosmetics has partnered with Hello Kitty for a limited edition collection that will debut on February 10, 2009 online and February 12, 2009 in US stores. I also did hear something about a waiting list starting in January 2009. They expect it to be pretty popular. What do you think about this collection?

The collection will include a Couture edition as well. WWD reports:

“MAC has been mining pop culture since the brand was founded,” said John Demsey, group president of the Estée Lauder Cos. Inc. “This is a sexy and innocent fashion line, and a true MAC moment. In these times, everyone can use a little fun — and a little Kitty.”

Are you both a MAC Cosmetics and Hello Kitty fan? Are you going to purchase from this collection? Why or why not?

I think the collection is genius and the packaging is adorable! I do want to see how the product looks on me before I buy. I will probably buy one or two things out of this collection, most likely lip gloss since I am a lip gloss collector!
