Hip-hop diva Nicki Minaj is in the market for a new manager.
Singersroom.com is reporting that the Young Money rapper has fired her manager Debbie Antney, who is also the mother of fellow rapper Waka Flocka. Antney discussed the end of her relationship with Nicki Minaj saying, quote, “I received a letter, which was (a) suspension.
The next letter that came in was a cease and desist in doing all business with Nicki Minaj from Nicki’s attorney.” Debbie Antney says she wasn’t given a reason for her termination.
She also says that despite her firing, she wishes the “Massive Attack” rapper nothing but the best. She adds, quote, “I love Nicki. I wish her the most success. It’s not about the music, she’s like one of my children. I wish her no harm, only much success.”
Nicki Minaj made headlines last week when she announced that she was pulling out of Rihanna’s summer tour to work on her debut, solo album. A release date for the record has not been announced.
