SZA just gave us all something to think about—what if the real flex is silence? Last month, she stepped away from the noise and headed to India for a ten-day silent retreat with her mother, guided by Sadhguru. No phones. No mirrors. No eye contact. Just stillness, reflection, and some serious inner work.

She took to IG to share her biggest takeaway: not everything has to be said. In a world where we’re all about speaking our minds and being heard, SZA realized the power in waiting, listening, and letting joy reveal itself on its own time.

This wasn’t just about escaping the chaos of the industry—it was about quieting the chaos within. She came to understand that a lot of the stress and drama we experience is self-created. By focusing on her own peace, she hopes to send that same positive energy back into the world.

The retreat, called Samyama, was deep—over eight days of complete silence. No distractions, no outside validation, just raw self-awareness. SZA described it as both profound and chaotic, proof that real growth comes from sitting with yourself, even when it’s uncomfortable.

Now, she’s back with a whole new mindset and a mission to spread the peace she found. If there’s one thing her journey teaches us, it’s that sometimes, the best thing we can do is be still and listen. Could y’all go silent for ten days? Let’s talk about it! 👇🏾✨
