Person Shot and Killed on Indy's Northeast Side

INDIANAPOLIS – A person was shot and killed on Indy’s northeast side early Sunday.  

The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department says they received a report about this on Shady Oak Drive, which is near Ellis Drive and 42^nd Street, around 10:30 a.m.  

Police arrived at the scene, and they found the person shot in a parking lot of an apartment complex, but they did not survive.  

Officers are looking into this. They say if you know any witnesses, or if anyone has any surveillance video, they urge you to let them know.
