Talk about keeping things on the down low—Toni Braxton and Birdman have taken secrecy to a new level!
According to TMZ, the legendary singer secretly said “I do” to her longtime on-again, off-again beau, Birdman, on August 8, 2024. But before anyone could even catch the bouquet, the marriage hit turbulence. Just two days later, on August 10, Toni cited their separation date, and within two weeks, she filed for divorce, calling the marriage “irretrievably broken.” However, in a twist befitting a soap opera, Toni dismissed the divorce petition five months later in January 2025, with Birdman in agreement.
Toni has always kept it cute and classy, but this one snuck past even the most nosy internet aunties. If it weren’t for court documents getting leaked, we might’ve never known!
Between the two of them, Toni and Birdman have quite the blended family. Toni shares two sons with ex-husband Keri Lewis—Denim, who studied sports management and dabbles in modeling, and Diezel, who overcame an early autism diagnosis and now thrives as a young adult. Birdman has two kids of his own: Bryan Jr., born in 1997, and Bria, born in 1998, who once co-authored a novel with Lil Wayne’s daughter, Reginae Carter.

“You ever been scared to be happy? I haven’t been happy in a long time outside of work. Work brings me extreme happiness… A romantic relationship? I haven’t had time for that—I should say, I chose not to make time for it, but it’s right here in front of my face: happiness.”
