Muncie Man Arrested for Threatening to Kill His Child's Mother

MUNCIE, Ind. — Police say a Muncie man was arrested for stalking and threatening to kill the mother of his child.

Earlier this month, officers were dispatched to a home just north of Ball State University on a report of a violation of a protective order. The woman told law enforcement that Gavin Christol, 24, had damaged her car and sent her messages expressing a desire to kill her.

Police confirmed the threatening nature of the messages, adding that Christol even said that their daughter would be better off with her dead.

Christol has been charged with the following:

Stalking, a Level 5 Felony

Intimidation, a Class 6 Felony

Invasion of Privacy, a Class A Misdemeanor

An investigation is ongoing.
