Haliburton’s Heroics Propel Pacers to 111-110 Victory Over Thunder

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK.–Tyrese Haliburton’s jumper with 0.3 seconds to go gave the Indiana Pacers their only lead of the game. They would go on to win 111-110 at the Paycom Center.
The Pacers erased a 15-point deficit and overcame 25 turnovers, 19 of which they committed in the first half to take a 1-0 series lead in the NBA Finals. They also overcame a 38-point performance from the NBA’s MVP Shai Gilgeous Alexander. That Thunder guard also had five rebounds to go along with three assists on 14-30 shooting.
Indiana dominated the Thunder on the glass outrebounding them 56-39. Once again, all of the Pacer’s starters finished in double figure scoring led by Pascal Siakam with 19 points and 10 rebounds. Haliburton and Andrew Nembhard both had 14 points. Haliburton had 10 rebounds while Aaron Nesmith picked up a double double as well (10 points and 12 rebounds).
The Thunder also took 16 more shots than Indiana (39-98 compared to Indiana’s 39-82).
