The Hot Sheet: Pacers Fall in Game 7, Fever Lose Too
The Hot Sheet with Shavona Slayz
If you missed The Hot Sheet this morning, let’s get into what happened last night—because it hurts, but we gotta talk about it.
The Indiana Pacers’ incredible postseason run came to an end in Game 7 of the NBA Finals, falling to the Thunder 103–91 in Oklahoma City. After all the grit and heart they showed this series, it just wasn’t their night.
Tyrese Haliburton gave us a quick spark early—dropping 9 points in just under 7 minutes—but he was clearly battling through that right hamstring injury. After checking out in the first quarter, he didn’t return. That moment changed everything.
OKC capitalized fast. They outscored Indy 28–13 in the third quarter, and the Pacers could never recover. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander took over with 36 points and was named Finals MVP. Meanwhile, Indy just couldn’t find their rhythm.
Despite the loss, this squad gave the city a run we’ll never forget. First Finals appearance since 2000. A whole new level of energy at Gainbridge. Real talk—the future is bright in Blue & Gold.
And earlier in the day, the Indiana Fever were also in action but took a tough loss on the road. They fell to the Las Vegas Aces in a physical battle out West. It was gritty from the jump, but the Fever couldn’t close the gap late.
So yeah—it was a rough Sunday for Indy hoops. But whether it’s the Pacers pushing to the Finals or the Fever growing every game, our teams are showing up and laying the foundation. The work doesn’t stop.
