The drama between Erica Mena and Safaree is heating up again—this time over a Chris Brown concert.
Safaree recently shared a video of himself vibing at Breezy’s show, appearing emotional during the performance.
But instead of praise for the moment, his ex-wife Erica Mena took to social media to air him out—accusing him of being a deadbeat dad who’s more interested in concerts than caring for their two kids.
“The world’s poster boy deadbeat at the Chris Brown concert shedding fake tears for yet another man,” Mena wrote in a now-viral post. “Clown, ain’t you in court right now lying under oath about being broke just so you don’t have to lift a finger or a dollar for kids you don’t even see? Even your mother should be ashamed.”
Whew.
The harsh words come after months of back-and-forth between the former Love & Hip-Hop couple—both online and in court. Mena has long accused Safaree of not showing up financially or emotionally for their children, while Safaree insists he’s active in their lives.
Speaking on the All Things Keyshia Ka’oir podcast, Safaree addressed the situation, saying, “Deadbeats ain’t paying what I’m paying in lawyer fees. It’s so expensive and I hate it so much… I just want it to be black and white. The only people benefiting are the lawyers.”
But Mena isn’t buying it.
Their toxic co-parenting issues have spilled into the public eye before. Earlier this year, Safaree posted a video of Mena climbing over his fence with a ladder to allegedly bang on his back door, accusing her of harassment. Safaree claimed he wasn’t picking up their kids until their custody battle was settled.
The couple finalized their divorce in 2022 after a rollercoaster relationship that played out in real-time on TV and social media. While both have moved on professionally—Mena continuing her reality TV appearances and Safaree still pursuing music and hosting gigs—their relationship remains rocky at best.
Online reactions to Mena’s latest callout have been mixed. Some are riding with her, frustrated at Safaree’s public image versus what she claims is happening behind the scenes. Others argue the private battle shouldn’t be blasted so publicly—especially when kids are involved.
At the end of the day, one thing is clear: there’s a lot more going on behind those Instagram posts than most fans realize. And for Erica Mena, one concert clip was all it took to drag her ex back into the hot seat.
