For longtime NBA fans, seeing Delonte West smiling, talking hoops and knocking down jumpers again hits a little differently. The former Cleveland Cavaliers guard recently linked with streamer N3on for a livestream that quickly became about much more than content. Months later, West was reportedly working at the same treatment center where he had received help.

There have been setbacks since then, but West has once again been working toward rebuilding his life. Earlier in 2026, he publicly celebrated reaching 100 days of sobriety, and during their recent linkup, N3on told viewers that West had been living in sober housing and was on a much better path. 2. LeBron James & His Family Have Continued To Check On Him

One of the stream’s most heartfelt moments came when West spoke about the people from his NBA days who never completely forgot about him. He specifically mentioned former Cavaliers teammate LeBron James and his family, explaining that LeBron’s mother, Gloria James, would call West’s mother to check on him and encourage him to get himself together. It was also a notable moment considering the ugly rumors that have followed West, LeBron and Gloria for years.

3. West Explained How He Went From The NBA To Homelessness

West didn’t completely avoid the tougher parts of his story either. During the conversation, he opened up about how his life changed after his playing career and discussed the road that eventually left a former first-round NBA pick struggling with homelessness. Hearing West discuss those years himself gave viewers something different from the viral videos and headlines that have documented his struggles from the outside.
